Hampton K. ONeill specializes in civil litigation. He is primarily involved in business, commercial and insurance litigation and the defense of personal injury actions, and has extensive experience in defending claims based on product liability, medical malpractice, industrial, construction and traffic accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, skiing and other recreational industry accidents and insurance coverage and bad faith. Mr. ONeill also has significant experience in land use law and real estate development. Mr. ONeill is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Wyoming and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in Colorado and Minnesota. Mr. O'Neill is a member of the American Bar Association, the Wyoming State Bar, and the Natrona County Bar Association, serving as its president in 1998-1999. He is also a member of the Defense Lawyers Association of Wyoming and Defense Research Institute.
Mr. ONeill received his B.A. from St Johns College in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1986, and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie, Wyoming in 1990. From 1990-1991, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Clarence A. Brimmer, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. In 1991, he began his law practice in Casper and, in the spring of 1998, Mr. ONeill moved his law practice to Brown, Drew & Massey, LLP. Prior to law school, Mr. ONeill worked in a variety of agricultural businesses in the upper midwest, and his family continues to be involved in the livestock and agriculture industry. Mr. ONeill and his wife, Sher, have four children and enjoy hunting, fishing, skiing and all activities in Wyomings outdoors.
